I have been exploring the world through a camera lens since I was ten. Passion for the earth and its inhabitants drives my photography, especially through sustainable gardening and agriculture. My subjects include home gardens, community gardens, family farms, Community Supported Agriculture (CSAs), farmers markets, flower & garden shows, parks, nurseries and horticultural research.
My images appear in galleries, books, magazines, calendars, and on websites. Fresh from the Garden Cookbook is a delicious collaboration with garden writer Ann Lovejoy. My work also appears in Williams-Sonoma cookbooks, 40 Sunset books, Gordon Hayward garden design books and numerous garden magazines. I have an extensive library of stock images.
My fine art photography explores the intersection of culture and nature. I use my horticulture background to explore our relationship with nature and agriculture. My fine art prints are shown in galleries and are available directly from my studio. I also create limited edition photographic artist books - to get my work off the walls and into people’s hands for a more intimate viewing experience.
I hold a Masters Degree in Fine Arts, exhibit across the US, give artist lectures and teach photography. A current show résumé is available upon request.
